we are
You go home thinking you saw Mexico.
They take you to the Zócalo with 50 other people. They charge you $100 USD for mediocre guacamole. They bring you to “authentic” restaurants where no Mexican actually eats. But you didn’t see shit.

🚴♂️🌙 LUPITA NOCTURNA
The midnight ride every CDMX cyclist needs to do once.
📅 Thusday 11, 12
⏱️ 6 hours
⏰ 12:00am – 6:00am
👥 Max 6 cyclists per ride
💰 $65 USD – BYOB (bring your own bike)
💰 $85 USD – Bike rental included (lights, helmet, lock)
11:00pm. Roma.
6 cyclists. 20 kilometers.
Destination: Mexico’s soul.
This isn’t a tour. It’s a pilgrimage on two wheels.
We ride through sleeping Mexico City.
Past Reforma’s monuments, lit up and empty.
North on Insurgentes as the city gets quieter.
By 2am, we arrive at the Basilica of Guadalupe.
But not as tourists.
As witnesses.

Thousands of pilgrims are completing journeys
that started days ago. Some walked 100 kilometers.
Some crawled on their knees. All with unshakeable faith.
We park our bikes and walk the final stretch with them.
As the sun rises over the Basilica, you understand
something about Mexico that no guidebook explains.
Then tamales and atole with the pilgrims.
Real conversations. Real people. Real Mexico.
By 6am, you’re back home.
But you’re different.

Who’s Behind This
I’m Jorge Bhagat. I’ve lived in this city for 15 years.
I’m not a professional tour guide.
I’m a certified Kundalini Yoga instructor.
I studied literature at UNAM.
I love my city.
And I’m fed up with how it’s sold to tourists.
BARRIO is my way of showing you the Mexico I live every day.
No performance.
No lies.
No edited version.
Just what’s real.
My co-founder is from the barrio.
He knows the streets, the people, the real stories.
Between the two of us, you get the full picture:
The spiritual and the street.
Lo fino y lo chaca.
